Beginner Students
Areas of focus will include learning to read music, proper technique, introductory music theory and aural skills.

Advanced Students
Areas of focus may include jazz theory, comping, interpreting chord charts, and improvisation, but can be tailored to your personal goals.

Music Theory
Music theory tutoring is available for students preparing for the AP Music Theory Exam or who need help with coursework.

Performance Opportunities
There is an annual recital for all students to perform in front of family and friends.

Rates and Lesson Length
Lessons are $100 per hour in Alex’s Roxborough studio or online.
Lessons offered are 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes in length.

Credentials and Experience
Dual Bachelor of Arts in Music and Computer Science from Gettysburg College
10 years private teaching experience with 25+ current private students aged 8 to Adult.
Extensive industry experience performing in a wide variety of genres including Jazz, Pop, Top 40, R&B, Motown, Classic Rock, Classical, Klezmer and more.
Performance/IMDB credit for piano parts in the Netflix movie “Candy Jar” (2018)
